by CedarW My boys love it! They only do their business in the litter box and it works great! I clean it twice a week and I've had it for a while. I would recommend it for rats- hamsters may be too small and rabbits may be too big.

Good litter box but could be alot better. Need to use aluminum for grid and larger sizes would be great. Also better clips because they break and the guard comes off too easy.

I love this litter pan. I am on my third one as I replace it every year, for $11 it is worth it. I had 4 other bunnies since childhood and they were not litter trained. I tried this with my most recent bunny when she was 8 weeks old and she learned now to use it immediately. The grill keeps her off the litter and she doesn't have yellow paws.the gaps in the grill are close together and big enough for pellets to fall through but still comfortable for her feet. So easy to clean I spray it with vinegar water and wipe, I don't even rinse it. The metal grill lasts for about one year before it starts to corrode in the spot where bunny urinates. I don't know why it is scented like baby powder though. The scent is strong at first but disappears within a week.

by Kirima Works for rats.
I bought this solely because of the grate it had, that is the best idea ever for a litter pan. I have three rat boys I'm fostering who actually use it more often than not which is good because I use fleece liners and not bedding. They pretty much never urinate in it, but rats aren't really known to urinate in litter boxes. They also use it to sleep on which is hilarious. I have the smaller of the two sizes and it is huge for rats, all three of them could fit on it easily together. I think it would be a good size for baby ferret and mini/baby bunnies too, but you'd need the bigger size for larger rabbits and adult ferrets. It takes up a lot of cage space as well.
