Top Fin® Bowfront Aquarium Stand
Not good/ Not too bad
This was not to hard to put together UNTIL the last step. The doors...they did not work no matter what I did, they would fit in the spot and look nice, but they did not have room to open..so after several people trying to figure it out..I went and got hinges and just had to put them on that way..which does not look right but they open..the one door still does not fit and wont close right..but at this point..it is what it is..just watch out for pieces not fitting right..It could also use a brace on the bottom back. I will be using a piece of wood..just to be sure it will hold

Stand is poorly made, don't waste your money!
Though this will (hopefully) hold our 36 gallon tank, this is a VERY cheap stand. It was chipped right out of the box and much more brown than black. Also, with some tweaking we were able to get the doors to close but they don't sit evenly. We would have returned this item but had to continue setup as we had already committed our previous tank and stand to go elsewhere. Disappointed that this was our only option at Petsmart for our 36 gallon tank.

Not so good..
Cons: Cheap.. Not sure where to start here, the stand is as cheaply made as it can get.. The coating on the particle board is horrible. Paint is tougher that this stuff, expect it to come of and scratch easily. The worst part however is design.. Instead of simply using the bottom shelf as the base, they extended the side panels another 2 3/8 inches to give it more height. The only other support is a piece of board running across the center of the bottom, and the small piece in the center which only extends as far as the cross piece. This leaves the back open with no support. I will have a piece specially cut to give more support there because it's very unstable the way it is. I would also rather the front be covered instead of the little center section. Plus as another reviewer mentioned, be sure to use wood glue when assembling it. The last thing you want is losing a $1000, 300 lb reef tank because of the stand.. I wish I had gone with a better stand...

My boyfriend and I put this stand together, very meticulously, and it took us about 2 hours. For those of you complaining about assembly time, you've obviously never assembled furniture before! This stand is beautiful and it matches my furniture perfectly. Instructions were easy to follow and all of the pieces fit perfectly. We have not put the tank on it yet, but have no doubts that it won't hold.
Because of the reviews about the color washing off, I am going to water seal it before I set my tank on it.
