Well, I was hoping to find knowledgeable reviews here maybe answering some open questions about the bulb, but I guess I'll just have to offer what I do know if it helps anyone else.
I've been using two of these bulbs since September and have had no obvious problems. They're still burning after nearly 4 months, roughly 12 hours daily, and I haven't noticed any visible light intensity or color changes.
Presumably they're providing the animals [15 green/Carolina anoles] UVB adequate to their needs although I can't be certain. They look and behave healthy enough, although of late several seem to have much lower appetites. This could be a natural cycle green anoles have in winter I just wasn't aware of [outdoors where I live they're active on warmer days even though we have plenty of freezes].
I do wonder if at +/- 12 hours daily the bulbs might have a shorter lifespan than the suggested year. I also admittedly have only just started to wonder if two bulbs might be too much. The enclosure is large [All Living Things 40 gal.] and I figured more coverage would be needed.
In any case, I've had no problems with breaking or quitting bulbs in four months counting, and have been impressed so far with the quality of All Living Things products overall [including tank, fixtures and a basking bulb].
If anyone sees this and can add info on the bulb's UVB output lifespan and whether two bulbs are too many I'll be grateful.
