If you have a dog with leg strength or joint problems, this ramp is too short to be effective unless your vehicle loading surface is less than around 24 inches height. This is because the effective real ramp length is only 68 inches, and taller loading would make the angle pretty steep.
The real inside width is about 14 inches.
Any loading height over 24 inches because far too steep for dogs who have problems with jumping with such a short ramp.
My dog is a nine year old 103 pound Akita with rear leg joint issues, so the ramp is useless at steep angles.

Had to get a ramp for my rottie after her surgery. Can't allow her to jump in and out of the car anymore. It took her a little while to get use to getting on and off the ramp. The ramp is light weight, great size... The only thing I don't care for is the surface. Too harsh on my dog's paws. Like super rough sandpaper. Had to modify with a piece of carpet. Otherwise, a good product. Well made. Very sturdy!

We purchased this ramp for our two aging Golden Retrievers after researching several ramps. First impression was that it was built well and a good purchase. We still believe that with a couple exceptions. First, the non-skid surface is fairly rough, but not as excessive as some reviews indicate. However, the first time our Golden's used the ramp the surface was permanently marred and even got holes from a nervous dog trying to get his grip when walking up. The non-skid surface is just a sheet of self adhesive grip tape like you see on some stairs. We ended up removing the grip tape and purchasing a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet (berber style) from the bulk roll at the local hardware store and glued that to the surface. Now the dogs do not slip and their paws even get slightly wiped prior to entering the car.
The second issue was the snap that holds the two pieces together broke the first time we tried to use it.
Overall product is built well, easy to use and will last with our modification.

I am amazed at how strong and light this ramp is. I expected something this light to be much less substantial and something this strong to be much heavier. Allison is our 80-pound Lab, and she took right to it without much coaxing.
I read other reviews that were concerned about the sandpaper-like surface. I don't think it's going to be an issue. It needs some texture to keep Allison from slipping as she walks up and down it. The texture is any rougher than the concrete sidewalks she walks on every day.
It extends and collapses easily enough and I expect to get several years of use out of it. This was a good purchase.
