Two dogs of very different sizes and temperaments, both learned to use ramp in two trials. The ramp is very solid even at full extension to reach a height of 30", my 100lb.+ male wouldn't have wanted anything to do with it if there was any instability. I am a pro trainer and both dogs are obedience trained and trust me to not put them in a bad situation, I started them at a lower height and worked up to the highest in three stages without any problems. I am curious to see how the stability holds up over time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Deema Excellent product - worth the cost
It's like, when you have a kid and you go shopping for strollers, you don't want to pay lot, so you spend less but aren't ever happy with the features or quality. You can keep investing marginal amounts of money in more strollers, but you're never quite satisfied. This ramp is very sturdy and secure, well made, easy (very easy) to use, and light enough to handle. It can be used anywhere - not just for the car or for the furniture. Granted, it costs more than most, but I know we will be using it for years and years, and in many different situations. I'm glad we bought it.
I need to mention that our dog is afraid of the ramp (neurotic!) and won't use it, but that doesn't take away from the value of the ramp purchased by someone else.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CustomerinCalifornia The product looked solid and well-surfaced. It just did not work for us because the area where we needed it was just too steep. The only suggestion we have is to make a more stable locking platform so the item does not slip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WifeSews Ideal for our purpose
I recently bought my wife a new sewing/embroidery machine. She immediately signed up for classes and projects. The machine is large and heavy. She cannot lift it into the back of her medium sized SUV. She bought a tote bag with wheels (think very large suitcase) especially made for transporting such machines. But the wheels do no good unless there is something to roll on. And here comes the pet ramp.
This ramp is long enough to provide a negotiable slope and wide enough for the tote bag and smooth enough to allow the wheels to turn. Being made of aluminum and being collapsible, it is easy to stow in the SUV, easy to get out, easy to set up, easy to put away.
My wife is extremely happy with the ramp; that makes me extremely happy with the ramp.
