I have two of these in my tank and they are great tank mates. They are very lively fish and lovely to look at.

These guys have quite a personality and are very active swimmers. They are prolific breeders and can become quite messy. I had several and each one died one by one, deteriorating gill cover, something that looked like swim bladder problems, another rasping at the surface, while all the other fish were thriving and alive today. While the male was quarantined in a breeder box, the females would sit at the top next to him, they would not leave him. They do best in harems, 1 male per 3-4 females at least. The male is the king and the females will follow. Imo, they will not do well without the harem. These are somewhat personable fish. They are very social and I highly recommend them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by beijaflor They DO have babies!
My daughter bought two of these. One for each kid. Low and behold, after a few weeks, there were little specks in the water. Mollies give birth, not hatch from eggs. We counted 13 little babies! Since they grow pretty quickly, you could quickly run out of space in your tank. BEWARE!

I got these fish about two weeks ago and they're very fun to watch! I have 3 Dalmation Mollies and 3 Dwarf Gouramis in a 20 gallon. There are no territorial problems and they all are happy and healthy. I definitely recommend Mollies if you are a beginner.
