Rated 4 out of 5 by MJJK Makes cleaning the box a breeze!
We bought two of these litter boxes for our cats, and they work great! Just be sure when lifting the sifting tray, to do so slowly and sift gently over the main box. If you do this, you will not get litter all over the place like some of the other reviewers. This works well with the new light weight cat litter. A full box of normal litter might make lifting the sifting tray a little harder, but I'm not sure. Cleaning the litter boxes is now very quick and easy. I only wish the sides were a little higher or the box itself a little larger or both as both of our cats do like to dig and scatter the litter a bit.

Very happy that I purchased this litter box as it makes cleaning out the litter so much more efficient and less messy. The product works exactly as I had hoped!

This litter box and the litter we use changed my life. I am only slightly overstating that. This box, along with a pellet litter (we use Exquisicat pine) reduces smell and eliminates tracking and dust. The pellets break down to a sawdust that you can sift through the grate to the box below (I usually scrape it around rather than simply shaking it - the litter box can be heavy). The sawdust doesn't stick to the grate and will only be damp and stick to the box below if you aren't using enough litter in the box. We have three cats and three boxes and cleaning them is no longer the bane of my existence.
The only downside is that your cat might not cover his #2s, but that's the easiest thing to remove and not the cause of the eye-watering, ammonia smell which the pellet litter virtually eliminates.

For all those having so much trouble with clumps getting stuck in the grate - you are not using enough litter. As one of the reviewers stated that should only happen occasionally when the box runs low.
Having lived outside the US previously, my cats used litter boxes with a raised grate that didn't even use litter and really were best to use - kept the paws dry and were easy to rinse out. However there was no issue using the litter, as I stated, when kept at a deep enough level.
Similarly, if you use clumping litter in a regular box and you are scooping out anything but a small ball, i.e. a 4x6in wide 1/8in thin puddle, you are doing it wrong! You are keeping the litter TOO LOW!
