Rated 4 out of 5 by croftoniandude So far, so good
I purchased the 200W heater for my 45 gallon tank to replace a Marineland which wasn't even a year old. My previous heater (150W) never did a very good job, and often struggled to maintain 79 degrees at nearly the maximum setting. I followed the setup instructions and within 24 hours, I noticed superior heating performance with this heater. And my thermometer reading are almost perfectly in sync with the temperature the heater is set to.
Thankfully my fish and plants are doing much better now that their habitat has been restored.
I can't speak to the durability of this product, but just on performance thus far, I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a heater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fishwich Works for me
This heater works just great. It will adjust to your preferred temperature accurately. That may not seem like much until you have one that will not adjust at all. Keeps the aquarium at an even temperature and has not caused or had any issues at all. Good product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by pxer Good for couple months
This heater worked great for a couple months but then it started to leak tiny bubbles and make knocking noises. I am scared it has a leak and will not put my hand in the water without unplugging the heater first. I will not buy again. A heater this expensive should not of broken down so easily. I will try a different brand next time. Buy with caution or better yet don't buy this product at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DaveIA Good experience - you need to know how to do it
My experience running 2 of the 50-watt heaters has been very good. One heats a 5-gallon tank and the other heats a 10-gallon one. I make sure to acclimate the heater thermostats FIRST by submerging them into the tank water for at least 30 min. before turning them on. Once they've been running, I left them cool at least an hour before removing them from the water. They warm up the water gradually; takes about 4 hr. to warm a 10-gallon tank from 60-F to 80-F. I can't speak for the negative reviews - might be user error, might be that rare manufacturing defect. I recommend these highly. They've been holding accurate temperatures consistently for over a year now.
