Great tank with every thing you need to start it up.
The filter works very well and the lights help to grow plants and doesn't create algae. The only downside would be that the hood lighting of the tank creates a lot of evaporation, so when you take the hood off for matinence, a lot of water drips off. Also, I would not recommend using this tank for saltwater, but it is awesome for freshwater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KK713 A great starter tank
Whether you are just beginning your first tank, or are a home aquarium enthusiast, the Top Fin Starter Kit will meet the basic needs of any fish lover. It is perfect for anyone looking for an aquarium that is affordable, easy to set up, and easy to maintain.
An affordable price can be appreciated when looking for quality fish tanks. Included with the 20 gallon glass aquarium are the following items:
Hood with LED lights
Top Fin filter with cartridge
Adjustable 100 watt heater
4-inch nylon net
Water test vial
Guide to aquarium set-up and care
When you consider the potential cost of each item, you will find you save money due to how expensive some items can be individually, especially LED lights, tank filters, and heaters.
As noted above, set up is made easy with step-by-step instructions for assembling the filter unit and installing the lights and heater. When putting together the filter you should be aware of a clear tube, called the intake tube. This tube must be inserted into its proper slot all the way. Failure to do so may cause your filter to not work properly or be noisy, but this is easily fixed by correcting the problem. You will then find your filter to be very quiet and efficient. Water flow is adjustable with a knob on the filter, and if you ever suspect you have a water problem, the test vial will let you quickly collect a sample for inspection.
After the mechanical parts of your tank have been fully constructed, the rectangular shape is excellent for adding gravel, plants, decorations, or even a background. The size is also convenient, making the tank more cost effective for maintenance by not requiring as much food or water conditioners. You even have a wide selection of small fish available for you, without taking up a lot of space. A 20 gallon aquarium will also easily be able to fit onto a desk, dresser, or similar surface for your viewing pleasure.
Once you have created your ideal Top Fin aquarium, all you have to do is go pick out your favorite fish and enjoy watching them swim around in their personalized new home.

Upgraded from a 5 gallon 2 months ago and I love this tank! After I got it for around $70 I set it up and moved my 2 peppered cory catfish there after 2 weeks and they seem happy swimming around the tank at night and relaxing in their cave at day. I also got 3 guppies and 3 more and will soon get 2 honey gouramis. All the fish seem happy and the setup was cheap and easy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DaYodish Tip/trick for the TopFin Power Filter 20
I bought the 20 gallon Topfin aquarium kit. I could not get the Topfin Power Filter to work. It would not suck water. I followed the package instructions and troubleshooting. I thought it to was defective so I returned it to Petsmart and got the same filter off the shelf. They replaced it at no charge. Got it home and had the EXACT same problem.
Finally, I searched the forums and saw where someone said that the intake tube must be pressed down HARD to snap into the little grooves, not just rested in the grooves. They were not kidding! I really had to press hard to get it to snap into place. However, as soon as it was locked in, it started working perfectly and quietly! HOORAY!! :D
