Simply Nourish™ Adult Cat Food
We have two cats, a DSH(age 7) and a Maine Coon(age 3) who we have fed a few brands in the past years. The previous brand was the Nutro chicken, since the fish ones made for extra stinky cat boxes. And while the MC's coat grew in nice and thick after being adopted, he tended to have serious itchy back that would make him frantic for scratches. The DSH had epic amounts of shedding and both cats had hairball problems. By accident, we switched brands and the cats have been on the food for about a month now. Both boys seem happier. The DSH, who tended to be a scardy cat, seems calmer and the MC seems a little more playful and content. Their coats have made a massive change for the good. The itching and flaking (which seemed like a food allergy) is better each day. The DSH has hair shedding that is more normal for his coat type and both cats have such shiny silky soft coats. I imagine the less hair shedding will make for less hairballs and if the shine of their coats are any clue to how much oil is in the food, they will at least be easier to manage. The Chicken and Rice had no adverse effect on their guts, which was good since they picked it out from around the old food. The new food does not get that rancid oil smell and is not overpowering in its scent. It also does not make for stinky poops, which is a massive plus.
Long story short, the food makes for happy cats, happy humans, and super healthy coats.
As a side note, we feed our elderly small dog the same brand. She was getting to the point where she was having diarrhea every other day and seemed miserable. She has always been the worse of finicky eaters compounded with very delicate guts. Until we switched her to the Senior Adult Small Breed Chicken and Brown Rice. She very rarely gets sick anymore and it is usually because she had gotten a hold of something she shouldn't. And if desperate enough, she will eat the hard kibble plain without the tablespoon of wet food we tempt her with.

A little bit pricey, but my cats love this stuff!
I recently switched my two Maine Coons over to this brand after Purina One stopped making their favorite flavor. Since switching, my cats have had so much more energy and their coats look shinier and feel silkier! They both recently turned 6, but on this food, they act like kittens again! Definitely worth the price.

So far, so good
I took in an abandoned cat about a month ago, and she was really underweight. I'd recently started feeding my dog Simply Nourish, so I decided to stick with what worked and try the same brand for the cat. She likes the food, and is already back to weight - in fact, at her vet appointment tomorrow, I suspect I might be told to cut her back a little. She's shiny, fluffy and active on this and I don't foresee any need to switch.

My kitties love Simply Nourish!!
I currently have 3 indoor cats. Prior to adopting two sister kittens over a year ago, I fed my eldest cat (2 1/2 yrs old at the time) Blue Buffalo Indoor Cat Formula. She seemed to like it just fine, but was frequently having urinary problems (bloody urine, going outside the litter box, crying while urinating) for which the vet could not find a reason for - after tests, unnecessary antibiotics, etc. We switched her to Simply Nourish Indoor Cat Formula in the Chicken & Rice flavor. #1. My finicky queen ate it right up!! #2. Not a single urinary problem since beginning SN - I mean absolutely NONE!!
So, when we adopted 8 week old sister kittens in Jan 2013, I immediately put them on Simply Nourish Kitten dry food - all of the 3 ate the canned SN food. The kittens loved it!! My queen even started eating their "Kitten" food and left her bowl of adult food barely touched. So, I gave in and only bought only the Kitten formula to feed all of my babies for a year.
They eat various flavors of wet food, but all eat the Adult Indoor Formula. I'm actually thinking about trying out the Turkey & Oatmeal flavor since I read some very good reviews on it.
The one and only complaint is that there's ALWAYS lots of food "dust" in each and every bag, and it even collects in the bottom of their food dishes. Neither the kitties or I care for this. I'm hoping the manufacturer reads these reviews and can figure out a way to solve this issue. This is the only brand of dry cat food I've had this problem with and I truly hope it can be fixed.
Another thing, I really wish PetSmart would send out coupons to their loyal Simply Nourish customers. On a tight budget, the truth is, our cats eat better than we do.
