Rated 4 out of 5 by Linds876 Excellent door - only complaint is that it didn't quite fit my standard door frame, but luckily if I took out the one fitting out (nearest the latch) and put a rubber stopper (1/2 inch thick) instead and tightened the rest it fit perfectly.

For the price of this gate I expected more. Put it up to keep my dog in the kitchen while at work. Day 2 she learned that she can just pull the bottom corner and it pops open. Using zip ties to keep it shut. Absolutely a waste of money ... DO NOT BUY THIS GATE!

I've had this gate for years now and I'm very pleased with it. I use it to keep my two cats out of a particular room. It works with a spring action so you can adjust it to fit the width of your door. (I only use it where the door is) Can take it off...and put in back easily between the door easily. But you don't need to take gate off as the gate has a open and close mechanism that allows you to walk in and out of the room by opening it..and closing it (gate) back. Very sturdy quality materials. It was an excellent investment for me.

I got this gate to keep my new dog and cats apart while I'm training the dog to properly interact with the cats. The gate was easy to put together but the screws that came with it to install the mounts are really low quality. One of them broke apart while being screwed into the pilot holes I made. I had to dig it out of the wall and patch it. Another started to strip as it was being screwed in. I had to go and buy stronger screws that were better made to install the gate.
Another issue I had was that the bars aren't close enough together to keep my cats away from the dog. While the gate has worked out well with my dog, one of my cats is part velociraptor and has been testing the gate since it was put up. He tried to jump over the top and body slammed into it making it fall to the ground when I was just using it without the mounts. He was unharmed as he wandered over it acting like nothing had happened. When I wasn't able to install the mounts due to the screws falling apart he rammed into the bottom making the bottom come loose and swing up so he was yet again able to get through to the other side.
Once I had the mounts installed he figured out that he could fit through the bar between the end of the door and the bar next to it. I've had to tape cardboard over parts of it to keep my cats from getting through the bars. Something needs to be redesigned to keep cats from being able to fit through and better hardware needs to be provided to mount the gate.
