Scoop Free Self Cleaning Cat Litter Box
Worse litter box
I am so disappointed in this litter box. When it is not leaking the litter smells horrible when wet. It smells worse than a typical litter box. My cat will only use the box a few times before refusing to use it again. The pans do not last a week and are very expensive to replace.

We love this product. We have had one for about 7 or 8 years and it worked perfectly for us and just now has stopped resetting itself. However, we are purchasing a new one tomorrow. We only have one cat now and the cartridge lasts about two weeks. I get cartridges on autoship, just google scoop-free and setup an autoship and you never run out. I definitely recommend this product, great for vacations.

Best Investment Ever
I will admit that at first I was hesitant about purchasing this product as I have only used clay litter in the past. But it was definitely a good decision. My cat had no problems acclimating to the new box and my house doesn't wreak of ammonia from her box. The crystals also dont get tracked all over the house like the clay litter did. I have one cat and it has been 14 days and still no smell. Advice: if your cat likes to urinate in one specific spot you need to stir the crystals around. Other than that virtually maintenance free. Also, crystals DON'T CLUMP. They're not designed to. It says it on the side of the box. Ive seen a lot of reviews that complain about that. But it isn't clay so it isn't going to clump. Overall: completely satisfied.

Better than other brands but expensive
I had bought a clamping litter box previously, actually 3 of them. The first worked fine but died after 5 years so I bought a second one. Unfortunately they had changed the design and the rake will break litter clumps and make a total mess. It smelled terrible, no matter what litter i bought. The third one had again a better design but died pretty quickly ( less than one year). The container section had issues holding container cover in place so it smelled a lot. So I decided to try this one.
The design is better and the 'salt' is kept clean until the container is full. The rake does not break the clumps and so keeps the salt clean. I find it less smelly because I change the whole tray versus just the litter. However, the trays are expensive and last a lot less than stated in the box (really max 1 week for 2 cats, sometimes only 6 days).
I would recommend it because it has eliminated the constant smell of the other type of boxes but you need to be willing to pay the price for it!
