Authority® Senior Cat Food
My cat has been on a high quality national pet food most of his life. He is nine years old now, so when I took him for his annual vet visit, I asked her to recommend a cat food for a cat his age. She did not have a specific food recommendation, however she said that I needed to place him on a senior formula and I needed to choose a cat food without fish as an ingredient since most cats have reactions to pet foods with added fish.
I went to PetSmart to look for a senior cat food, and when reading the ingredients on the food he has eaten most of his life, I was surprised to see fish as an ingredient. I had a hard time finding a cat food without added fish, until I came to this brand.
I tried him on it and he loves it! He is gaining weight, and his coat is soft and getting thicker. I had him on a supplement for hairballs and to improve his coat, however I have discontinued that since changing to this cat food.
The only problem I have is I wanted to give him a treat for being a good boy at the vet's office. The canned version of Authority does have fish in it. I did not get him the canned food, but he seems happy with just the dry food.

As of today, our once overweight, picky, senior cat is going back to his favorite, Purina Naturals. He'd been on Authority Senior dry cat food for several months after it was highly recommended by a PetSmart employee. Our cat seemed to like the new food at first, but after losing some weight & looking healthy for awhile, he began losing too much weight & is now very thin & barely eating. He's been to the vet, so we know he's not sick. Earlier today, I mixed some Purina Naturals & Authority Senior dry cat food together, & my boy was picking out the pieces of Purina Naturals. I marked "yes" as far as recommending this product because the reviews I read were mostly positive, but if you have picky eaters, I'd definitely NOT recommend it.

Excellent product & great value =^..^=
We have 10 cats + 1 dog (9 rescues) so buying a good quality food at an affordable price is a challenge. I used to purchase Blue Buffalo, which the pets really loved, but it is very expensive. Prior to Blue Buffalo, I had purchased Iams for years, until comparing the ingredients - Iams seemed overpriced considering the fillers used. My father recommended Authority - he's purchased their food for a while for his dogs, and I was unfamiliar with PetSmart's own line of food. This past Christmas, "Santa" filled our pets' stockings and surrounded their tree with Authority cans, crunch (senior & adult), as well as treats for everyone. Over 4 months later, everyone still enjoys the crunch. I'm really thrilled that my eldest kitty, 14 years young with thinning hair, has put on weight and his hair has thickened! Only complaint (NOT with the crunch) is that the cans do not come in the larger size like the dog cans or other brands.

My cat, Leile loves Authority real chicken.
The Authority Senior Cat Food arrived on time and I like that the resealable bag holds freshness.
