My boys just love this carrier! The moment we brought it home, they were happily exploring the inside and climbing on top of it. I've been looking for a bigger carrier for my nonstandard (long legged) Napoleon, since the one we were previously using was too short and narrow for him. He can comfortably stand and stretch out in this one.

Have had this crate for about a year and it seems very sturdy. Not sure I would sit on it, but it's plenty sturdy for a couple cats. The biggest issue I've struggled with is that the wire door rattles like crazy in the car, which is annoying for the driver and probably contributes to the anxiety of the carrier's inhabitants, who don't like being in there to begin with.
So after a trip to the vet tonight I set out to fix the rattle once and for all. I was shocked to see that none of the other reviewers mentioned this...so much so that I really wondered if I actually had the same crate/carrier as everyone else. But after looking at all the reviews - for this model and the larger/smaller ones, there's no mistaking that blue color of the one I have.
My solution was pretty simple - I shot a squirt with my hot glue gun into the top and bottom hinge sockets, let it set for about 3 seconds, then put the door hinge rod back into the top and bottom - let it set for another couple seconds and then pulled it back and allowed the glue to fully cool. After this was done I did the other side. When all set up, this holds the hinge rods more securely so they don't rattle in the hinge sockets. After shaking the carrier, it's far quieter although not slient, but I think my kitties will appreciate the effort.
I havent taken any trips with it yet, so can't speak to this solution's longevity, but if the glue pulls out, I'll just repeat it and try again.

Very sturdy and looks great. Roomier than similar kennels I looked at, so my pet has plenty of room to stretch.

Somehow my 8 lbs MINI dachshund managed to do this in ONE DAY to get out....he's a tiny skinny little thing, all he had to do is to chew until he made a hole to get out. Sturdy plastic? I don't think so.
