I had one last close to three years in the Las Vegas sun. I had washed it many times. My outside dog bed does have a con ope. So I bought a new one the very same type, it barely lasted a year "just over warranty" . I believe that the problem is that they have sat in a warehouse for over five years and the foam and outer fluffy top have all ready started to brake down. I have one Boston bull one Boston terrier, they love the bed just sun-en or snoozen. regardless of it shape.

This bed was good for like a week. It is not as supportive as you would assume is would be named as "orthopedic". We bought the largest size for my 100lb dog. It started sagging in the middle, did not give him any support, and the cover on the outside started falling apart after the first wash.
The biggest problem we have with this bed is that the foam inside is unable to be washed so it just STINKS constantly.
Had to buy a new bed (different brand) 2 months later only because we couldn't handle the smell anymore.

I noticed past reviews complained that the mattresses were too small for the crate and we're not the size as described. I went to my local Petsmart and had JD help me with a new matress and it appears that all the mattresses are slightly smaller than the actual crate. Obviously the manufacturers are making them slightly smaller.

I've had this bed for my dog for maybe a year or two now. It served it's purpose of giving a softer place to lay but buyer be warned. It's cheap egg crate foam inside. Don't know how that's considered orthopedic especially for $80 it's not worth it if you have a pet weighting a significant amount. Haven't had any problems with shrinking in the wash like others have posted but egg crate foam bed should not cost this much.
