Rated 2 out of 5 by Puckhog Too Deep Equals Poor Circulation
The tank is too deep for its length and width. This matters because I had to add two extra circulation pumps to try and keep the substrate clean and need at least one more. Looks terrible with all that junk on the inside. Also, the center brace is in the way so you can't use a proper size HOB filter. You could do two undersized, one on each side.

I actually bought this in store on Black Friday. The tank takes up minimal space and the stand has lots of handy storage under the cabinet. I put it in my living room where I have lots of empty wall space, but I feel it is a good choice for those with less floor space as well. The light is included and works well as a low tech planted setup.
Stocked with 14 danio, 6 black skirt tetra, and 7 melini cory catfish. I reccomend similar setup so you have top, mid and bottom dwellers due to column shape of tank. Black blasting sand substrate. 2 marimo moss balls and 1 anubias nana. Reccomend Top Fin 75 filter and a well rated submersible heater. Added a bubbler want for a wall of bubbles on back.
Very happy with this purchase!

This is a great tank if you don't have the space to go wide. I wanted a 55 gallon tank but I didn't have the room for it horizontally so I checked this tank out and it was perfect for my situation. It is very well built. The tank and stand are very well constructed. I've owned mine now for 8 months now without any problems what so ever. I've been in this hobby for over forty years and this is about my twelfth tank purchase that I've made. I very highly rate this combination on price and quality! Five plus star rating all the way!

Just wanted to share my experience with this aquarium. I bought this tank about 2 years ago during an aquatics sale and really thought I got a great tank for an awesome price. Well since having this tank for about 2 years, I am very unhappy with my decision. For starters, the top is made of glass and easily breaks while cleaning the tank. And guess what? There is no replacement tops made for this unique size of tank! We ended up going to the home improvement store and making our own out of plexi glass. And just secondly, just the other day, we woke up to this tank leaking all over our floors! The seal just gave way! We had to get rid of our fish and were left cleaning our living room carpets!
In my opinion, the way this tank is made, the dimensions are inappropriate for the amount of water it holds. There is a reason why you don't see any other 50 + gallon tanks built tall instead of long. I think the longer tanks distribute the weight of the water better and don't overload the seals of the tank like this tank did for us.
