I have had the 45 gallon Aqueon aquarium for about 4 months now, and have really enjoyed it. The aquarium is very nice quality. The silicone seals are nice and neat. No leaking. There is enough room between the center brace to use an aqeoun 55/75 filter with about 4 inches left.
The stand looks nice with the aquarium and has a decent amount of storage on the shelf below. It also has ample room to fit a Marineland c220 canister filter. I do have concerns about the particle board and it holding up over the years. The right door for the underneath storage does drag a bit. I thought it was possibly out of level but it is not. There is a bit of knocked off paint on the side of the door from it rubbing against my carpet.
The hood and light fit fine however since my aquarium is planted I set all that aside and using 2 Finnex planted 24/7 on a timer. I plan to make a canopy to enclose my lights. But for now to help with being blinded by light I am using a piece of lightweight material.
This tank is tall and about 50 inches off the floor to the top rim. So planting this tank and any hands on work on the bottom requires a step ladder and my arm up to my shoulder to reach. I am 5'3. I am not very talented yet in using the long 24 inch gardener tongs.
Also this tank is 13 inches deep n the base is not much wider and does make it feel a bit top heavy and plan to have it secured to the wall just as a precaution especially with rambunctious grandchildren.

by Tslice Great size, high quality
This tank went on sale, and I paid a very reasonable price for the quality.
It is 36x12x24" it is a great size imo. I was able to use 50 pounds of dry ocean rock combined with 25 pounds of 10/10 grade live rock and was able to make a pretty nice reef wall.
The tank looks great with just simple H.O (hang on) gear for the reef, such as the marineland penguin 350 filter, coralife super skimmer, and I've got a 9 watt UV 4 stage canister filter hooked up. It's fairly basic for saltwater, but don't let anyone tell you it's not possible.
Back onto the aquarium itself. It's a great combo for the money, and a good combo over all. The stand seems pretty high quality, and has some good usable space under it if you don't need a lot of sump height, or don't run one like me.
The silicone is basic, but very high quality. The rim is basic, but high quality. The tank has a plastic brace for structural support.
Only inherent downfall of this size is the thinner .5" glass needed to build an aquarium of this size, which can be scratched easier then some larger, wider aquariums with thicker glass. Don't wear jewelry or have metal around the glass because it can scratch.

Great size good top, but have only one problem. The hood around my filter (quite flow 30 very good) is a bit loose and I do not want my eel getting out or my other fish jumping out. A simple fix is putting chicken wire around it. Do not have fish yet (got today) so when i get fish i will post a photo with another review.

I got this tank while it was on sale almost two years ago.
It was my first fish tank aside from betta tanks.
I love how narrow it is, so it fits close to the wall and leaves plenty of space for you to walk past it, and also how tall it is. I like taller tanks, and this one delivers!
