I put a female Betts that I had kept in a bowl for several years.the filter just was too strong and blew her away. She was exhausted and had trouble breathing until I shut off the filter.the national geographic one gallon was gentler.perhaps the 2 1/2 minibow might be better.

This leaks unless you push up the entire filter unit and cover up off the tank. Would have returned this if I still had the box and receipt. I am ready to throw it in the trash.

I'm very disappointed. The light bulb was damaged in less than 3 days. The price is too much for its value. If Lego would've made the filter, it would've been better. By the rest of the reviews, the tank seems to have a life span of a couple of months.
I'd take it back but we got rid of the box.

This tank is a good size, however the filter is too strong for the bettas long flowing fins. Today I came home and my betta's tail fin was ripped seriously. Thank goodness for my mother being home to unplug the filter. I would not recommend this tank for a male betta or any fish with long fins as they will get caught in the filter
