About the Authors
Author Andrew C. Highfield has worked with tortoises and turtles for almost 30 years, having written books, articles, and scientific papers on issues related to these reptiles. A world-recognized authority on tortoises and turtles, the author co-founded the Tortoise Trust in 1984 and currently serves as its director as well as chairperson of the Jill Martin Fund for Tortoise Welfare and Conservation. Andrew resides in the United Kingdom.
Nadine Highfield has had a lifelong interest in the conservation and rehabilitation of turtles. She is currently in charge of the care and rehabilitation of critically ill turtles at the Tortoise Trust in the UK. Nadine has published many articles on the care and conservation of turtles. She resides in the United Kingdom.
