Don't waste your time or money.
I bought this thinking it was a cute option for my pet turtles to bask on while gaining much needed swim area. As soon as one of my turtles tried getting on, it tipped. I placed the smallest turtle on it and it immed. started tipping and sank with his weight, he is only a little larger then a 50 cent piece. I live over an hour away so now have to wait till I can get back to return it. Cute idea, bad construction I guess.

You need just the right turtle
I bought this because it was cheap. Unfortunately it means that ultimately the real thing I want will be $10 more expensive because I had to try this piece.
Don't get it. I do not recommend it for small turtles under six inches. Either the turtles will be too small to be able to get themselves on the pad, or they'll be too big and sink/tip the pad over. I think only about 3 turtles in the world have the right weight/size combination to make it work.
I really prefer the ones that attach to the side with magnets -- my turtles love this!

I bought this due to as sale persons advice to replace the ramp style one that I had broken. My turtle HATES it. Refuses to get on it and jumps off it if placed on it. I live 80 miles from town and had to go pick up some big rocks and boil them to use until I can get back to town and buy one like I had. Total waste of money.
