Our new natural odor control formula keeps habitats fresher longer! Basic Blend absorbs 2.5x its weight in liquid, keeping your pet dry and comfortable. Fun for nesting and burrowing.
Directions:
Place 1-3 inches of CareFRESH Basic Blend bedding in your pet's cage or habitat depending on the number of pets housed. For added performance and fun, use with CareFRESH enrichment products! Change bedding weekly or as needed. Remove damp spots or soiled areas between changes and replace with fresh bedding. Always wash your hands after handling used bedding.

Kiln-dried softwood shavings (spruce and/or pine and/or fir) and paper pulp
Caution:
As with any substrate, there is potential risk of impaction if your pet ingests a sufficient amount of bedding. Observe your pet and seek veterinary care if you suspect impaction of the GI tract. Not intended for grazers such as tortoises. Products containing wood shavings should not be used in enclosed habitats such as aquariums. **Warning: pouring, handling, mixing, or general usage of wood shavings generates wood dust, a substance known to the state of California to cause cancer. Use a respirator or other safe guards to avoid inhaling wood dust.
