Gouramis are hardy fish that are popular with fish keepers because of their unique coloration and color patterns. They work best in a semi-aggressive community aquarium. They are compatible with other community fish, as well as angelfish, discus and other non-aggressive cichlids. Remember, only one male gourami per community. You will see your gouramis swimming in the middle and at the top of your aquarium. To create a beautiful aquarium environment, be sure to add some bottom swimmers as well. Compatibility
Peaceful with fish of the same size. Males may fight with each other.

Habitat
Vietnam-Thailand: Moderately decorated with live plants, driftwood and rocks.

Breeding
The male has a pointed dorsal fin and the female's is rounded. The male will build a bubble nest for the eggs.

Additional Comments
They use their feelers underneath their bodies to scope out new items or fish in the aquarium. A well rounded diet is important, otherwise the fish will die prematurely.
