Feeding Instructions:
Give your chinchilla time to adjust to any new diet or food. To convert your pet to a new food, begin by mixing old and new foods, then gradually increase the amount of new food over a 7 to 10 day period.
Feed your chinchilla once a day, offering no more than your pet can consume in 4 to 6 hours. Feeding time stimulates the bond of affection between pet and owner, and provides the best opportunity to regularly monitor your chinchilla's food intake. It is important to empty and clean food dishes daily. Provide water in a separate dish or water bottle. Treats and hay can be fed in a third dish.
