To encourage healthy behavior, reptiles need appropriate intervals of light and darkness to replicate the natural light cycle. The general rule is 12 hour day/12 hour night light cycle.
Remember to never place the basking fixture inside the enclosure. Keep fixture and bulb out of reptile's reach as direct contact can cause injury to your pet.
