Enisyl-F is a new option for managing feline herpes virus. This oral nutritional supplement contains 250 mg of L-Lysine HCl per mL in a highly palatable base.
All cats are susceptible to feline herpes Virus (FHV-1). It is estimated that at least 80% of all the cats in the world are infected with Feline Herpes Virus (FHV-1). All cats are susceptible and Feline Herpes Virus is a major cause of the most severe and widespread respiratory infection in cats, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR).
Up to 80% of cats who contract FHV-1 remain lifelong carriers of this highly contagious virus and can pass it on to uninfected cats through viral shedding.
Reactivation of the virus is often associated with stress and may occur spontaneously throughout an infected cat's lifetime. While mortality is generally low in adult cats, it can reach 30% in kittens.
Ingredients:
Purified water, L-Lysine HCI, sorbitol, cod liver oil, xanthan gum, tuna flavor, soya lecithin, silica aerogel, caramel color, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate.
Analytical Constituents:
Crude protein (min.) 24%, crude fat (min.) 7.2%, crude fiber (max.) .1%, moisture (max.) 55.3%
Administration:
- Adult cats: 1 to 2 mL twice a day.
- Kittens: 1 mL twice a day, or as recommended by your veterinarian.
Each pressure represents 1 mL of Enisyl-F paste. Enisyl-F is extremely tasty and is easily accepted by most cats. It can be applied directly in the mouth, on the nose or on the paw where it can be licked off. Alternatively, you may add the product to your cat's food, if more convenient. Replace the cap securely on the tip of the dosing pump.
