Timid, but great
Purchased 2 opal one/blue dwarf and 2 Red fire dwarf
gourami a couple days ago. They occupy a 55 gallon tank, with a 3" powder blue gourami and 2 bristle nose plecostomus.
Water circulation by 2 Aquaclear 301 Powerheads and 2 Magnum 350 canister filters, one with Carbon, one with polishing cartridge.
Added a nice, gnarly piece of Savannah drift wood to the tank about 5 days ago as well. A slight tint that makes the fish look a little better! And provides a couple of interesting places to hide.
Planning to add 2 blue and 3 red in the near future. And maybe up to 20 Tetra, or equivalent a little later also. Hope this will help bring current fish more into the open.
Dark coloration, assuming happy/healthy, especially considering how bad this tank was a week ago!!
Definitely worth getting. Would suggest at least 5 or more though. Providing tank is large enough.

A Great Fish For A Beginner!
We have had this fish for a week although he was extremely shy when we first got him he now will let you watch him as long as we don't chase him around the aquarium making lots of racket. Ours has a even more beautiful pattern than the icon above! It is light blue with dark blue stripes, I always say it looks like the marines camouflage. It is easy to take care of as well which makes it a amazing fish for most anybody!
