Angelfish are beautiful, hardy, and have loads of personality. Much like goldfish, when in the right conditions they live an extremely long time. They need warmer water than most tropical fish. Angelfish need plenty of plants to hide in and claim their territory. They can live alone but they do best in groups of three. Juveniles can live in a twenty gallon aquarium until they're adults. When adults, angelfish should be moved to a thirty gallon aquarium. Overall good fish. These fish aren't really for beginners.

I Love Angelfish but.....
Angelfish are beautiful however they are not hardy at all. I purchased 4 about 9 days ago and 3 died within three days of getting them : ( I'm hoping my last one survives because I love Angelfish they have an outgoing personality and add a nice touch to my aquarium! I do think the price of the Angelfish is a bit high for the size you get; they are only about the size of a dime. I wouldn’t recommend getting an Angelfish do to the fact that they die easily.

I've been wanting to get some Angelfish so I went to my LFS and their Angelfish were not up to my standards, the fish had frayed fins and looked a bit "beat-up". I then went to Petsmart and the very helpful associate brought me to the tank with the Angelfish in it and they were absolutely flawless. No frayed fins and they didn't seem all stressed out. I picked out 2 and brought them home.... Long story short, they are beautiful and make an excellent addition to my tank.
Also, although the info on the tank classified them as "semi-aggresive" mine are very peaceful and the pair of them are like buddies, swimming around the tank with each other with no nipping or any signs of aggression.
