PetSmart Mixed Nerite Snail
I definitely recommend these snails. They are very easy to feed, they eat leftover fish food if you have fish I the tank. If you do not have fish in the tank you can feed them fruit. I suggest having some fish in the tank. It's much easier but you do have to still clean the tank like Normal. If you have a very powerful filter I suggest not getting to many. I have 2 snails one tan and one zebra patterned.

They're Ok Little Guys
I bought these for two of my tanks because they are known for eating algae. Which, to an extent, mine do. Not in a way that I can tell a difference. Mine are just plain brown ones. So I can't comment of the different shell colors. People will say that they reproduce like crazy, mine haven't. I've had them for a good 6 months, two in each tank, and nothing. Not that I'm complaining. They need brackish water to really get to reproducing. Mine have laid eggs on the side of one of the tanks (the picture shows white dots), but nothing has ever come of them. They're easily wiped off.

I LOVE these snails! They're so much more colorful than mystery snails, and I love how each individual is unique due to the crazy patterns on their shells. One of mine is covered in tiny stripes and another has a black square that makes him resemble a checkerboard, for example.
Additional notes: They clean algae fairly well and I never seem to have to feed them (though I do drop in a bit of extra fish food or an algae pellet every once in a great while for them). In my experience they're very slow growers, so if you pick a tiny one, be prepared to have a tiny snail for quite awhile!

These are good snails but if you don't want them make sure they don't make contact to the water or somehow your aquarium will just get infested with them, ours was only in there for less than 5 seconds and after we took it out more started to appear!? after time of course. Snails (one of the people that commented) I don't think your Goldfish ate them, that would be nearly impossible and how would that be digested? They must have gotten out of your aquarium, I saw some snails at the store which were outside the water. Ours tried the same. FYI I am eating a Hot Pocket!!! :D
