When we introduced Platys in our tank they fought other fish and didn't even get along with eachother. We had to separate one of them (had to purchase another tank), because I didn't want to kill it.
The one that has been separated tries to attack the others through the tank.
They are also very dirty. They seem to defecate more than other fish we have (cat fish, tetras, or cloud).
They seem hardy. But if we would have started our tank with platys, I'm sure we would have stopped having fish.
When these die, I will not be replacing them with more of the same.

I got one of these fish a few days after my first tank with 2 other platys. I bought this fish cause I thought it looked cool. When I put her in the tank with my other fish, she was really friendly from the start. She would never pick at the fish nor chase them away. We thought that we had 3 female platys but one turned out to be a male. So we had at least 20 baby platys in the tank, so we gave the male away and she stopped having babies. This is a very hardy fish and I would recommend this fish to anyone.
