Great fish for community tanks
I purchased 4 of these guys for my 20 gallon guppy tank and I absolutely love them. They are extremely active and are always shifting through the sand in my tank. I would highly recommend them, but it is important to take a couple things into consideration.
1. These guys are schooling fish, so it is important to get more than one.
2.That being said, make sure your tank is large enough to have more than one, and if it isn't I would suggest looking into other options. These guys need others of their species around them and will most likely be highly stressed without them.
3. They aren't the hardiest of fish, so make sure your tank is cycled and well established before you throw these guys into the tank.
I really love Cory Cats and with the right conditions they make amazing additions to community tanks.

Went into the store looking to get some type of algae eater or plecto, and after sifting through limited availability and size/tank issues I left with one spotted Cory Catfish for my ten gallon tank. I have four white Skirt Tetras, two Red Wag Platys, two Blonde Delta guppies and one turquoise guppy besides the Cory. I was a little doubtful that the catfish would be any good at keeping my tank clean, but man i was wrong. This little guy doesn't stop. it's very active and is constantly vacuuming the bottom of my tank. I've had the cory in there for about a week, and the tank has never looked better. the water stays clear and all the extra flakes that pass by the other fish are quickly gobbled up by the cory. I toss one or two algae disks in the tank per day as well, and those are always gone too, though i suspect my guppies help with that. it's been a great addition to my tank, and it is fun to watch. it's very peaceful and is content to ignore and be ignored by the other fish. I definitely recommend.

Peppered Cory Cat
I love these little guys! They are so cute & fun to watch. I recently bought 4 of them.. 1 peppered, 1 green, 1 skunk, & 1 albino. They are great bottom feeders & will eat food that has fallen to the bottom of your tank. They will swim around a little, but mostly stay at the bottom. They will go up to the surface for a gulp of air every now & then too. They are very active, lively little fish. I had a peppered cory that lived 3 years & after he died I got these 4. They are some of my favorite fish. I have a BN pleco in my tank also, but he doesn't seem to bother them. I def recommend these guys, especially if you tend to over feed your fish... they will be happy to eat up the left overs.
