This toy breaks apart just by pressing your fingers together on it. I had one cat that ate it and before I knew it was gone, it was coming out in pieces. Beware!

My cat is seriously stoked for these little straw catnip balls. He is declawed (was declawed by previous owner ) and is super into these things without totally destroying them as cats with claws would easily do. He prefers this toy over all of his others. Yes it is true that the toys don't last terribly long but they're cheap and my little dude freaks out over them so duh obviously I'm going to keep replacing them.

The shape and texture of these Straw Balls is cool -- most conducive to batting around and chasing. My cats really like the feel and smell of them; these are the only ones (of their "ball toys") that they will retrieve and bring to me - sorta like "fetching" - so that I can throw or toss to them and then they just bat and grab and chase away!

I took this off the backing and my cat immediately started to play. Sadly the bamboo weave came apart immediately as well. Waste of money.
