I wish I had seen the review before I bought this in store. My 1 year old cat showed no interest in it when I first brought it home because I brought home several other toys, so she showed more interest in the shining objects. The next day, I was gone for about 6 hours, came home and found it torn in half (see image). My cat has claw caps on her front claws and it was too big for her to bite in the middle to rip it like that, so the only way she could have done this is by kicking it (which is supposedly what it was intended for). It's a real shame because if it had been made to actually withstand kicking, I think she would have really enjoyed it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by pcmala Pro: Good size. My kitten loves to chew and kick, usually me! I learned that if I can get my arm away and replace it with something he will be distracted enough I can save some skin. I wasn't sure he would like this because the texture is kind of rough but he seems to like chewing on it. He doesn't kick with his back paws much so just digs in with his front and gnaws away. Even my other kitty wanted to check it out but didn't do much with it. Compared to other kickers it seems the right size because his is long but still a kitten so this isn't to big and also he can move it around a little.
Con: Not sure how long he will like it yet. It is not really soft at all so not sure if all kitties will like the texture and how hard the stuffing is.
Overall: For a kitten that loves to gnaw your arm, this is a skin saver!

I bought this and brought it home to my 2 kitties. My male wasn't too interested but my female totally destroyed it in less than 20 minutes. Not a good toy for a cat that does rabbit kicks.
