Used this after doing a major overhaul of a 100 gallon fish tank system. It took the 36-72 hour time frame to work. Yes, makes the water look cloudy but that is typical of any clarifier I have ever used. After the time frame the tanks were crystal clear.

After adding the amount suggested for my 40 gallon turtle tank, the water turned black. I changed half the water and the water was a little better. Within 4 hours my 9 inch plecostomus was dead. So far the turtles are okay. I'll need to do another water change today.

Why is it that when the product was used it looked like my tank was filled with smoke? The water is NOT clear...its cloudy/smokey appearance is unappealing and concerning.
