I ordered a large based on the sizing chart and the product listing (both different). My dog is 22" neck (loose, more like 20-21). The sizing chart says large is 16-26", the product size says it's 14-22". But when collar arrived, it was too small. Measured the neck opening and it's 18 1/2", without being able to close it. To close, more like 16 1/2". I returned it to the store, of course shipping and handling is not refunded. So I basically spent 10 bucks for nothing. I'd like to try the x-large, but I've heard some say one size too small, next size up, too big. Not interested in spending another 10 to find that out. It may work, so if I could I'd put yes and no for a recommend. If you do order one, I'd call and see if they can give you a better number. Just know, don't go any larger than a 16" neck for the large.

My little guy had to have emergency surgery and I was told he could be in a cone for up to two weeks. A quick trip to Petsmart's website and the next day the cone arrived about an hour before we were able to bring our boy home. We switched out his e-collar for the comfy cone and he was a much happier cat. He is a snuggler, so he was not the only one to benefit from the cone softness. He can lay on our other cat or us without issues. He even slept on me with the cone between our faces and it was no issue.
The ease of cleaning turned out to be a big plus. It was a quick cleanup after he had an upset tummy.
The only down side to this cone is that if your pet has a small head to neck ratio (or if they are a cat), you will need a collar or something to keep them from pulling it off.
Also, I wish the removable stays were accessible from the outside edge of the cone, though I can imagine a savvy pet pulling them out if they were. I just un-velco the cone when it is food time and put it back together once he is done eating.

I got this product for my 6 month old puppy who had broken out really bad and was very irritated. With the comfy cone my puppy loves it! I thought she'd have a problem with it because I ordered a medium extra long but she learned how to navigate with it pretty quickly. My puppy is healing and is able to roam around the house without bothering her irritated areas. Definitely would recommend. My puppy wears the cone the entire day unless she's eating and has no problem with it.

This Comfy Cone is a lifesaver. My lab is healing from an abscess in his foot and will need an e-collar for quite some time. He was restless and roaming about the house when he was wearing the huge plastic thing from the vet. The Comfy Cone arrived and I put it on him and he immediately lay down and went to sleep. He has been resting comfortably ever since. I think he actually likes it because it is like having his own personal den that he carries with him. Fortunately, the noise of the velcro does not bother him. I am going to also try using it on him during thunderstorms and fireworks. He hates those, and I think it may help him to relax.
