Rated 3 out of 5 by Tris The door is great but the collar is not good quality. Also, the batteries do not last very long. I am constantly ordering them. The manufacturer should definitely do more research on creating a more dependable collar.

I think for the quality of this product, it is way over priced. The transmitters are cheaply made and I have had to rebuild or replace at least 10 for my four dogs in the past two years. The only reason that I keep buying them is because of the convenience of the electric dog door, that I LOVE!

The device works as specified. That being said it has two deficiencies, first the battery compartment does not have a screw to hold it in place, and instead relies on a mechanical "snap" lock which, in my case, has been detached twice by my dog. I plan to superglue the case on the next one I have to purchase.
Second, the strap sent with the MS-4, meant to hold it on the dog's neck is not up to the job. All three of the ones I have used to date I had to transfer to my dog's regular collar.

I purchased the door 2 yrs ago and have had to replace the collar 8 times. I have not been able to use again after battery wears out. At $40 a collar, it has turned out to be a very expensive door. I have preserved the collar longer by wrapping in tape--it at least stays together but not happy and customer service from \high tech is very poor.
