We purchased this almost 3 years ago for our 19 pound Lhasa and she absolutely loves it. She hops right in and is happy even on trips exceeding 12 hours. It has held up nicely and I have washed the pillow and top cover several times. I am buying another one for our Westie, he prefers to sit in a lap but since that isn't a safe option we let him test this out. Once buckled in he is content, happy to see out the window that his short legs otherwise make difficult. Other car seats require a headrest which our back seat does not have. It is a little cumbersome to run the selt belt through but it's worth it knowing the seat is secure. I recommend using a soft harness for long rides, this way the lead within the seat doesn't choke and I think it would be safer and more secure in the event of a collision or sudden stop. Warning-once my son did not strap the seat in and it did topple over when he hit the brakes abruptly. The dog was fine but scared. This is by far the best seat I have seen and I am very happy with my purchase-although I do get a variety of comments in the drive-thru...

Rated 5 out of 5 by SC1967 My small dog really likes the seat. She can see out the window and also aloe down and sleep. She weighs approximately qq lbs. I got the large because I wanted her to have plenty of room to sit as well as lie down. So far, so good. Just purchased and only used once so hopefully she continues to enjoy the seat.

This item took 15 minutes to put together. (Must follow directions) Takes up a full seat position. Lead to clip dog could be a little longer. Looks good, belts in for safety. Recommended

Love the concept of the car seat and it appears to be comfortable just wish it was better quality. My dog enjoys being able to look out the window or curl up and take a nap in the car seat. The problem is that we've owned it for 3 weeks, used it 3 times and the leash broke. The part that you connect the leash to the dog's collar, so the dog is securely fastened in, completely fell apart.
