I am glad I bought this item. It is kinda pricy, but my 12 yr old ESS needs it. Over all, the construction is sturdy enough for my 50 pound hound, but the step back panel is of a flimsy wood construction. I was afraid to lift it from the bottom for fear of breaking the panel. The design is nice, but could use hand holes to help with positioning. The finish is nice and matches my bedroom furniture. The top of each step has a nice no slip semi carpeted material so my dog won't slip climbing up. Recommend, but be careful positioning.

I purchased my first set of these and came out of the box broken. Didn't return yet and ordered another before I returned them n came in my dog used them twice n they broke while he was on them. They collapsed under him while on them. The brace is held in with 2 little metal pins that broke. Would not recommend for purchase.

I have had the steps about 2 weeks and I am happy with the quality. My dog is only 4 pounds, so there is no weight issue with the steps. She quickly caught on and I truly believe I have avoided a broken leg from her daring jumps from our bed.

This was exactly what I needed for my aging Boxer. It is very sturdy and well made. Not too heavy to where you can't move it around easily but it's not shabby either.
My Boxer is about 87 pounds and he climbs the steps with ease. The steps are far enough apart for his large legs but I can see where they would also be perfect for smaller dogs as well.
I looked at several different products before I ordered this one. I was impressed by the fact that it is made out of real wood and the steps have carpet on them to keep dogs from sliding.
It was also on sale which made it the same price as less quality product too.
Also, Petsmart always has a wide selection to choose from. Was glad to see that they had a quality step for large dogs.
I will buy more products from the company and Pet smart as well.
