Sturdy, good quality dense particle board on 3 sides with non skid footing. Would have liked it to have a solid black front door rather than brown. The tank for this one fits perfectly on top. Note this stand does not have a flat top so you must use it with the 15 gallon Aqueon Aquarium or it probably won't suit your needs.

Directions were not well written especially concerning how to attach the hinges. I followed the directions but the screws would not go in-finally had to look it up on the internet and found out from another consumer that you need to use a rubber mallet to force the hinges in place before you tighten the screws.

I got this stand for Christmas along with the tank. Its really pretty, but could be better. There are no shelves on the inside to store stuff which to me is a waste. Also I really don't like that fact that there is no top for the tank to sit on. I have also noticed that its a little wobble with the tank on it which is a little scary. I like that it is a dark color but would be much better all black. Finally, the description says online only so I only checked on Petsmart to see if they have it then ordered it off line and have to pay for S&H only to visit another store and found it.
