I have used this product a few times as a cheaper alternative to the Reptibark and after I had changed 3 of my gecko's cages I realized one had bugs in it. My boyfriend dumped the rest of the bag out and realized it had tiny little mites in the bedding! This bag was sealed so the mites had obviously been in there the whole time! not 100% what kind of mites but they looked like little termites so probably just pay the extra few dollars and get the name brand. It also is cut in long sharp pieces sometimes and the reptibark is usually smaller more uniform chunks.

This is very good bedding. I used this on my bearded dragon. It held humidity very well. Only 2 cons one is it doesn't look amazing in a cage. Second is it its kinda rough
