I have a 125 gallon tank (72 inches long) with african cichlids. Currently using a 48 inch long zoo-med T5 light. I wanted to purchase a light that would cover the entire tank and thought I would try the LEDs since they are very popular now.
I purchased three 24 inch lights along with an additional LED strip for each light. The nice thing about the aqueon is that you can add two more strips to the unit.
After setting it up I was disappointed at the lack of light. So much so that I am returning them today and purchasing a longer T-5 HO light at a LFS. Perhaps these are good for reef tanks but there is no comparison to the output of a T-5 light.

This LED light is very high quality. When I received my unit, the bulb was shattered-- it looks like the one I got might have been a return previously (if that's true, PetSmart should have sold it back to me as reconditioned, not new). PS was very good about the exchange-- I went to a local store and got a working unit with no hassle.
I plan on getting a 48" for my 60 gallon tank in the near future.

Very nice light for the price. I have a 72 gal bow and I think this light gives off enough light and I wont be putting in the other two bulbs it can handle. The moon beam lighting is also pretty cool. I would recommend this light over fluorescent bulbs anyday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jenn27 Great product; easy installation!
I got my light days before it was scheduled to arrive, and it was super easy to install. I have an Oscar, so I don't need a lot of bright light; the lighting was perfect for daytime lights. I do want another blue LED bulb for the fixture. But, overall, I am very happy with it!
