I just got this mushroom tree trunk and I use it for my 20 gallon crabitat with six hermit crabs. It doesn't come apart, it's not real wood, all plastic-sorts, no pieces or assembly. Great for my littler ones (<1"-1.5") to climb on. There are many holes in it for some hermits to get stuck but i haven't any problems with that so far. Dimension are 6.5 inches tall and 5 inches at its widest point (horizontal). Hope this helps!!

As you all know from my previous revews, I am really into the cichlid hobby and I wanted to change my 37 gal. aquarium's theme from "Big, Green, Luccious plants & Tropical Caverns" to "Dull colored, Roughly shaped, sad, dark and Dead forest" and so I went to Petsmart were I just knew I was going to find just what I was looking for and I did, I found this ornament wich is perfect for the theme I wanted and my african cichlid colors really stand out and they enjoy the new hardscape, especially this particular ornament, I really the mushroom detail and so do my cichlids. I love it! :)
