just what I thought I needed....I no longer have to clean pump daily and can go on vacation without finding someone to clean pump.

Filter unit does a ok job filtering pond water. I found that the unit will wants rise upward's from the bottom. I placed a flat rock inside the unit to hold it down. Quality of material, fair. However when I removed the cover (to clean the filters) both tabs that held the cover in place snapped off or broke off. I have used large rubber-bands or very long wire tire wrapped around the filter to hold the cover in place. Filters, collect seeds, and is difficult to remove seed and algae from fine cell filter. Make sure you purchase extra filter materials. I used garden hose pressure to clean them. Larger item filtering is average I have to stir the water on the bottom of pond. No fish in this pond. The course filter is a light duty filter material and tears easy. Filter needed to be cleaned at lest every two weeks.
