Rated 2 out of 5 by Sophie8514 I purchased this and was excited about trying it out. I ordered the Large so she would have extra room and we have a 6 lb poodle. She barely fit in it and barely had room to lay down once hooked to the safety strap. She would need the extra large. It is very small inside and she kept moving around to try to get comfortable. There is not much padding in or around it. I put in a blanket for comfort. It was great for the height as you can adjust it to keep her from getting car sick. There is no way this could hold a dog any larger than her and be able to lay down. The description is deceiving and I am sending it back! I am going to purchase another kind of car seat. I have seen others on the Pet Smart site that are much nicer so I will spend the money for a nicer one.

Very poorly made, cheep straps. They didn't last a month, rebuilt it with all leather straps. Works much better...

Our new dog didn't like riding in the car until we bought her the SolvIt Booster Seat. Although she only weighs 15 lbs, we got the extra large so that she would have plenty of room. She now loves riding in the car. Unfortunately, the strap broke after only a few months. I contacted the company, who said they would send a replacement. But they never sent it, and they didn't respond to follow up emails asking about the status of my request. So much for a lifetime warranty.

It was a good idea to get this pet seat, if it worked well. Unfortunately, it did not. I have a 5 pound Chihuahua who wants to sit in my lap or on my shoulder, which is not desired behavior whilst driving. I purchased the one for a small dog (she is only 5 pounds, after all), she barely has room in it when she stands, the seat itself is thin and not plush as the image shown appears to be. I will be returning this one and next stop will be to go in the store to find what I need. Not the seat for my Chi.
