Rated 5 out of 5 by Jennypg I was a little skeptical when I read some of the reviews but this product works really well and smells like fresh air within minutes of my cats doing their stinky big jobs!! I like it so much, I'm ordering two more for my other cat box locations today!!

I read almost all reviews before ordering 2 of these litter odor controllers. Am I doing something wrong? I can't tell that they have helped at all. I have two enclosed litter boxes in one room at opposite ends. I put one controller within 2-3 ft. of each litter box. My boxes are enclosed and there are also small curtains containing the area where the boxes are. Even with this new odor controller, if I go near the boxes I can smell the litter (which was changed completely this week and emptied daily). I put it on boost and then high and still odors. I think these are going back.

I wanted to wait until I had the unit for a bit before reviewing, I have now been using it for about two months.
Mine is located just next to the front door about 3 feet from a litter box. I have the unit in a large enough room that the amount of ozone it emits does not cause any issues with breathing for me or my pets. I would be hesitant to put it near my guinea pigs but that is just because their lungs are so sensitive.
Simply, it works. When you are near the unit the air is nice and clean smelling. I do maintain my litter boxes very well but this takes cat of the lingering odor that you can just never get rid of. I massively prefer this to any air freshener.
The biggest problem I have is with the emitter piece of the unit. I find I have to remove it and clean off corrosion every couple weeks (although I do run it on high almost 24/7). It comes with a replacement emitter so I put the second one in while making sure the one I have cleaned is completely dry. I do not know if me living in a humid climate holds some responsibility for the corrosion. Also replacement emitters can be purchased on the manufacturers site for a reasonable price.
I would buy this again, might even get one for near the other litter box, and recommend it to a friend. My issues with it are the emitter needing to be cleaned/replaced (you will notice that some or all of the points are not conducting electricity, and it is not working well) and I think the unit is ugly. The visual issues I am sure is a personal preference but I do wish that they had designed it to be more attractive in a home rather than just changed the color of the one they sell for hunting gear (that is the second line of the same products you will find on their site.

I've just bought my second CatMouse Odor Eliminator. My very elderly cat is not always as careful as I would like, and I was using a lot of spray products to keep the house from smelling like "cat". This product is extremely easy to mount and use, and has really reduced my use of scented sprays. I'm pleased with my purchase.
