The tag is very cool. But when I followed the steps in the manual to use the rivets, the drawings didn't match the parts I had. One part was called post & the other cap so I figured the hollow one was the cap since the pictures didn't match. I destroyed two of my three rivets before I found a youtube video with a lady putting them on. It was hard to tell but I finally figured out the hollow one was the post and the other one does snap onto it if you don't have shaky hands like me. I got the final one on & called Petsmart to get a spare rivet & they don't have them. Crud!! Petsmart, change the instructions to say "the hollow post" and "the cap will snap onto the post before you hit it with a hammer", or make the drawings look like the actual parts (or both!!!).

I always used standard tags but the store was out of all the small sizes for my new puppy so I reluctantly tried this riveted one instead.
The engraving was beautiful, even though it is a tiny tag you could read it clearly.
I put the holes in the collar as instructed which put a snag/run in the nice, new collar and I was already not very happy. Then I carefully pushed the tag all the way down on the rivets making sure it was flush with the collar and placed it on a solid flat granite counter. Then I struck the first rivet with the hammer as instructed...the tag popped up in the air. The rivet had flattened perfectly but went right through the hole in the tag.
I always shied away from this kind of tag because I was worried over time this might happen, but never expected it to happen immediately.
I am going stick with good old-fashioned hanging tags from now on!

This product it's exactly what I was expecting and even more. Perfectly fitting on the collar with it's included rivets so the tag stays in place.
The engraving was also as ordered: no flaws at all.

Needed a tag for our cat's collar that wouldn't hang or make noise and this plate is perfect. It is flat and well made. I got only two lines of print (cat's name and our phone number) since the plate is small (as it must be to fit the collar width.)
