This Tiki Hut is great. I have one in my 36 gallon tank. It works great 'cus my tank is island themed. My tropical fish & snails love it. It has great weight too. I've had it for 3 years and it the paint hasn't even came off at all, even when i had to scrub it.

This Tiki Hut is a huge hit with my Hermit Crabs!
It's made of resin, has no flaking paint, and has no offensive odor (like some aquarium decor does when it’s placed inside a closed tank) This piece is completely odorless.
It's well made, is very sturdy, and it has a realistic and totally cool look to it. I believe it to be extremely safe to use around Hermit crabs or any other kind of animal. IMHO
The crabs like to hang out on the lower level between the pillions and love digging down into the sand around them. For some reason, they seem to feel protected by both the pillion enclosure around them and the hut above.
Inside, there's a rampart (or path) that goes all the way around the 2nd level. I guess it gives them a higher view of the tank and the sand surface. They seem to really enjoy hanging out up there where they can keep an eye on everything going on down below.
I have counted as many as 8-10 crabs in it at any given time. :-)

This is an excellent place for fish to hide but not so well as you can't see them. I also have the house with the wheel and when the fish hide there is no way to see them. I love this tiki hut, I bought one for each of my 55 gallon aquariums. Little fish can hide and bigger fish can't follow if they can't fit thru the stilts.
