Elite CryogenX blades are even further optimized with a titanium carbonitride coating increasing its overall surface hardness, making them the longest wear resistance blade Oster offers. This coating also protects blades from scratching and rusting--last longer than regular steel blades. Elite blades have a Rockwell Hardness rating of 82+.
