Acrylic is 17 times stronger than glass and other commonly used aquarium materials. SeaClear Aquariums are all acrylic. Rated 1 out of 5 by Sven Horrendous Manufacturer I made the mistake of purchasing a Sea Clear acrylic aquarium. The instructions are poor. The tank utilizes an integrated filtration system, which is located in the back. Access to the filter is difficult and it is very difficult to install any protein skimmer, except for the 3rd rate Sea Clear skimmer that was designed to fit in the back. A traditional tank set up with a sump below is much better. The other maddening problem is that the manufacturer is SSSSLLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWW. If you need replacement parts, filter sleeves etc, you'll be lucky if it arrives in 6 weeks. December 17, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rachel02 Beutiful tank Tank itself is beautiful and sturdy and good quality. The light fixture however is flimsey. Thats why I gave it only 3 stars for quality. I took off 2 stars for the light fixture. Tank itself is 5 stars, light fixture is 3 stars. February 3, 2010

The openings on top could be slightly bigger to accomodate filter. Overall, I am very satisfied with the tank setup and my Angel Fish are one happy campers in their new digs :-)) February 16, 2009

Rated 3 out of 5 by zulicious Beautiful! But I have some major issues... I was very pleased with this tank. It is attractive and very clear (my fish look GREAT in it). However, in packing the hood, it was only wrapped in a little plastic and shoved loose into the tank. When I unwrapped it, the hood had broken pieces. It was nothing serious (I have requested some small replacement peices) but I have spoken to others who had broken hoods on arrival. I would venture that this tank is of great quality, but beware of the hood. July 3, 2008
