This hood fit my 5.5 gallon glass aquarium perfect! It has the option to pop out the plastic in the back so that a filter can fit too. I was worried when I ordered this because I wasn't sure if my tank was 5 or 5.5 gallons. I compared the measurements of this hood to my tank and they were fairly close so I went ahead and got it. Lucky me it fit perfectly! I definitely recommend this hood. It was a great price too!

I am literally so happy with this product that I created and account. I ordered 2 of these for my 5 1/2 gallon aqueon glass tanks with black rims. The hoods fit perfectly. At first I was a bit hesitant because I read reviews that they have holes in the back for filter and heater and such, which, is not the case, but it could be the case if you want them, because those spaces are easily detachable, think of pull out creases on papers. Anyway, this hood made my tank really pop. The black substrate I use looks perfect with the black hoods. I also got 15% off of them and free 2 days shipping with shop runner, I mean honestly, who doesn't have an American Express these days.
Anyway, I have been trying so hard just to find a hood for my aquariums and was about to buy one of those fold out glass lids, but I saw them in the store before and really just don't like them much, plus they are way over priced for what they do.
Thank you, so pleased. The mailman even delivered right to my apartment door which let's just say usually I have to end up picking the item up at the will call center.
