This toy is excellent for 5 of my 7 birds; however, it is pictured as having 7 large blocks of wood, when in reality, it only comes with 5 blocks of wood. It used to come with more wood, but does not now; and the price has not changed to reflect the lesser amount given. Other than that, I will continue to buy this toy for my birds; my Goffin Cockatoo can completely tear one up in 3 days. All my birds love this toy.

I have an extremely picky blue and gold macaw that isn't very good at playing with toys to keep his beak trim. This toy is his favourite, however, and he enjoys the way he can splinter of large strips of the wood along the grain. It's a simple toy, a great price and I always grab one or two when I'm in the parrot toy isle.

My two Senegals loved this toy to pieces... literally! It is colorful and very large. Depending on your bird it could take months to fully shred or a matter of hours with the macaws! My Sennies took about a half a year to fully strip this toy of its wood, and one of them is a rabid chewer.
It will get a lot of wood shavings all over the cage but they will most likely drop down into the grate and not be hazardous. One thing I didn't like was the included bell on the bottom, those drive me nuts ringing all the time so i just removed the inside of it to make it silent. Also the chunks can be chewed at the hole drilled into the center of them by smaller beaks. My sennies were able to make brand new chunks fall right off after chewing the hole keeping it attacked to the chain, so those chunks just became foot toys. Other than that it is a wonderful chew toy that I recommend to anyone with a "chewer" and other large parrots.

I have two macaws, Neo and Lego, and a umbrella cockatoo named Divine..and considering these are large parrots with powerful beaks its hard to find a toy that is strong enough to withstand there rough play, while still keeping them entertained. This toy did the trick! I have one in each of their cages and I only have to replace them every 3-4 months!! (as far as most toys go with me and my birds that is a VERY long time) Divine spends all here time playing with this when she is in her cage and starts again once I put her back. So I would defiantly recommend getting this toy for your large or medium sized parrot as its well built and will last a long time :D
